What is the Hit-a-Thon?

Alpine Little League is an entirely volunteer-run organization and registration fees and sponsorships do not cover the league’s operating expenses for each year. So we rely on community donations to operate the league successfully.

The annual Hit-A-Thon is our only annual fundraiser. It allows us to keep registration fees low and helps pay for things like:

    • Field maintenance
    • Umpires
    • Player & coach development (batting time, special training sessions)
    • Safety measures
    • Operations & Insurance
    • Scholarships

Our goal for the 2025 event is $50,000.

How It Works

We challenge players to reach out to their friends and family for pledges to help support our league.

On Sunday, April 27th, each player will get the opportunity to hit 5 pitches … FAR … to raise money and earn prizes based on individual and team fundraising levels!

In addition, some Majors level players for baseball and softball will participate in our new marquee events:

  • Home Run Derby
  • Golden Arm Competition
  • Golden Spikes Competition

While we acknowledge a per foot donation makes sense given this is an “a-thon”, flat donations are far preferred to enable better tracking of progress toward our goal and simplify the event logistics.

Our primary goal is 100% participation from each team, which means each player receives at least one donation and participates in the Hit-a-Thon event. The goal for each player is to raise at least $250 but every donation counts — no donation is too small.

Alpine Little League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID # 94-3105375) so your donation may be tax deductible. Also, many companies offer a “company match” to your donations so please explore whether your employer will match your contribution.
